Ode to the North II - Triptych - Wall Art

This painting was created to commemorate Canada’s 150th celebration; an ode to ‘The True North, strong and free’. I chose the panoramic format to captures the vast scope of our country. The iconic images of the Jack Pines, rocks and water are set against a backdrop of an ethereal sky. The streaming light from above unto the land is in reference to God’s blessings and prayers to ‘keep our land glorious and free’. The cool and warmer blues provide a spiritual and soothing mood to the image, which is how I felt every time I stood on the shores of each of Canada’s Great Lakes. Also, our need and responsibility to protect our natural land and the fresh waters of which we are the custodians of, for future generations. The original is currently in the lobby of an upscale condominium lobby and is greatly appreciated by the many guests and residents. The prints are stunning in many commercial or residential settings. The original is 30" x 80" on gallery canvas. The collective piece or larger individual panels are available in this collection as prints.
